For boutiques — buying & sourcing agent Your buyer in Sài Gòn. Sài Gòn's designers are dressing international editorials — Fancì Club, GIA Studios, the wave behind them — and barely reach a single wholesale platform. I've verified 320 of their houses in person and buy from them year-round, working between California and Sài Gòn: terms negotiated, every piece checked, the whole buy shipped once. One written number before any deposit · no retainer
The terms, in plain numbers
Buying fee · under $1,500
the small-buy rate — a first, cautious order, your time and mine both protected
$1,500 – $4,999
the standard first-range tier
$5,000 – $9,999
volume earns a smaller share
$10,000 – $19,999
the repeat-buyer tier
$20,000 and above
always quoted in writing first
Rush or atelier coordination
compressed timelines, proxied fittings — this replaces your tier rather than adding to it, and is agreed in writing before we start
Retainer
no subscription — agencies charge $500–2,500 a month; here you pay when you buy
Minimum fee
every buy pays at least $25 in fee. Example: on a $100 reorder, 18% would be only $18 — so the fee becomes $25 instead. Orders over about $150 are never affected
Scouting deposit
3,900,000₫ — four to six hours, flat: the back-and-forth to pin the brief, the research and preparation, the showroom round itself, the analysis, and the final recommendation. Priced at the upper end and flat either way, so a round that runs long is mine to absorb. It opens every buy — no round is walked on spec. Credited in full against your first payment; if you decide not to proceed, the research and line sheet remain yours. Pay the scouting deposit by card →
Research rate
650,000₫ an hour, two-hour minimum — for market surveys, option-hunting, or exploratory research before a buy brief is defined. Prepaid and credited in full against your next buy.
One written number before any deposit, whichever tier your budget lands in — and the tier is set by the whole buy, not per designer. Your fee is never more than it would be at the next tier’s opening, so landing just under a threshold never costs you more than landing just over it.
Free international shipping on buys placed before 15 August — pieces fly home on the 18th, the courier leg on us. Your written quote will confirm it.
Five quiet steps
The brief
Free to set up — the aesthetic, the budget, depth per style, and the date stock must land. Three lines is enough.
The scouting round
Showrooms worked against your brief — in person during Sài Gòn buying windows, by live video between them — returned as a line sheet: photo, price, sizes, lead time, per style.
The written quote
Every style with its negotiated stockist terms, my fee as one number, the shipping band and the timeline. Nothing is placed before your yes.
First payment & the check
Pieces at cost plus half the fee — your money buys your stock directly. Then every piece is checked and photographed for your approval.
Dispatch
The balance plus exact shipping after you approve the photographs. One consolidated export parcel, one tracking number, and the per-style commercial invoice your broker needs — US duty stays yours, prepared properly.
Five briefs, as they arrive
Three lines is genuinely enough. These are the shapes that come in most often, and where each one lands on the ladder — at ≈2,800,000₫ a piece unless the price point says otherwise.
-
“Six styles, two of each, for a February floor. Sizes XS–L. Shipping to Los Angeles.”
12 pieces · 3 houses · ≈$1,278 at cost → 18% · ≈$225. The cap holds it at $225 rather than $230, because that is what the next tier would charge. A first, cautious range.
-
“Four made-to-measure commissions for named clients, plus three ready-to-wear to test the floor. I need them in six weeks.”
9 pieces · ≈$4,072 at cost → flat 20% · ≈$814. Made-to-measure with a compressed date is atelier coordination, so the flat rate replaces the tier — agreed in writing before I start, never applied after.
-
“Repeat the two styles that sold out, plus twelve new ones from the same three houses. Same size run as last season.”
36 pieces · ≈$5,065 at cost → 12% · ≈$608. The second-season shape, and the one the ladder is built to reward: same relationship, smaller share.
-
“One category only, lower price point, more depth — ten styles, four of each.”
40 pieces · ≈$1,825 at cost → 15% · ≈$274. More pieces than the first brief and a smaller fee, because the tier follows the money rather than the piece count.
-
“A full seasonal floor. Twenty styles, three of each, natural fibres only, one shipment.”
60 pieces · ≈$8,441 at cost → 12% · ≈$1,000. Twelve per cent would be $1,013; the cap holds it at $1,000. Fabric and fibre constraints are part of the brief, not an extra.
A brief does not need a designer name in it. Tell me the shape of the floor, the budget and the date — finding the houses is the work you're paying for.
A first range, to the đồng
24 pieces across five designer houses, at two to three per style, averaging 2,800,000₫ a piece. Whatever the category — the arithmetic is the same. Converted at ≈26,300₫ to $1; your own quote is fixed in đồng, in writing.

Stockist terms at curated depth typically run 10–30% below retail — often covering the fee outright. Where a label has no room to move, I say so before you commit. Run your own numbers on the estimator below.
Until 15 August: in-stock pieces on a US-bound buy can fly home free in my suitcase on the 18th — no courier, no per-kilo bill, free Orange County pickup. Mention it in your brief; space goes in paid order.
Rough out your buy
A piece count, an average showroom price, a destination — the same ladder and anchors as the numbers above. A planning figure, not a quote: your own quote is itemized in writing, fixed in đồng, before anything is placed.
Enter a piece count and an average showroom price — the whole buy appears here, worked to the đồng.
Planning assumptions: ≈0.35kg per packed piece, converted at ≈26,300₫ to $1. The tier is set by the whole buy, not per designer; exact shipping is quoted in writing after packing, never guessed. US duty on a commercial entry stays yours — I prepare the per-style invoice your broker files. Nothing is scouted before the deposit lands; because it is credited in full, a real buyer never pays it twice.
